We Want Your Input!

Give Feedback on OWHE's Revised Mission, Vision, Values and Goals!

Written by Rachel Samuelson & Lea Griess

Over the past 9 months, OWHE has been working through a strategic planning process in order to strengthen our organizational identity, develop a measurable three year strategic plan and align our current services, offerings and programs with our mission, vision, values and purpose.

In summer of 2016, we identified and recruited stakeholders to participate in our strategic planning process. These folks were people who have been involved with OWHE in the past (previous board members, wise women panelists, etc.) and who may have an interest in seeing the organization continue in the future.

In fall of 2016, we held stakeholder feedback meetings, developed broad goals, mission, vision, values and some objectives. In January 2017, we articulated our mission, vision, values, goals and objectives to the 2017 conference attendees and solicited feedback from this group. Thank you for all who participated in this process at that point!

Now we are looking for feedback from all members! If you could please take the time to read the proposed mission, vision, values and goal changes below and submit your feedback here that would be great! One of the strongest themes from the feedback so far is for the organization to articulate its inclusion and support of trans-women in higher education in Oregon.

In April of 2017, we plan to write up a draft of a strategic plan based on the feedback we receive from our members and we’ll present that to our stakeholders in May of 2017.

Finally, in June of 2017 the board will approve and begin to implement the final strategic plan for 2017-2020.

Please take a few minutes to provide feedback on proposed Mission, Vision, Value, Goal changes. Please submit your feedback here! Thanks!
