OWHE Mentorship Program

The OWHE Mentorship Program provides an opportunity for OWHE members to build meaningful relationships that will help support and guide their professional and personal development. We believe that mentoring is a two-street and that each person involved will learn through this process.

Mentorship groups will be provided with guided professional development activities throughout the year to help develop and nurture their mentorship relationship and career goals.
This is an ideal program if you:
  • Would like to find more clarity in your professional goals and trajectory
  • Desire support and accountability in your career development process
  • Would want to build a deeper connection with other professionals in higher education
  • Want to support other people’s professional development
Participants can indicate that they are interested primarily in
  • Mentoring: matching with someone with less professional experience in a similar field and/or role
  • Mentorship: matching with someone with more professional experience in a similar field and/or role
  • Accountability Partners: matching with someone with similar professional experiences and/or role
Pairs and cohorts will be matched based on the following criteria:
  • Mentee/mentor desires
  • Professional experience levels

I missed the sign-up deadline for this year. How can I get involved?

Missed the deadline? No worries! There are still many ways to grow your mentorship network.

  • Looking for a mentorship partner on your campus? Start with an Institutional Rep (list of reps coming soon!). OWHE Reps are available to connect with new members, offer resources, and connect you with other women on campus.
  • Connect with other OWHE members on Facebook or Twitter.
  • Check out the OWHE blog. You might find someone who’s experienced in an area you’re interested in. Writers’ emails are posted at the bottom of each blog post.
  • Reach out to the OWHE board! We’re happy to answer any questions you have.
