Welcome to the OWHE Learning Community!

Formerly called the OWHE Book Club, the Learning Community was established in Fall 2017 after OWHE members from Portland State University requested a forum for reading and growing together as a community! Our community has grown significantly over the years, and we are excited about the upcoming changes in 2020.

We invite you to join our Learning Community, where we will have semi-annual discussions related to three themes. For each theme, learning community members will have the opportunity to learn from each other through a facilitated foundational discussion, integrating personal experiences with related media and resources. We will explore the theme as it relates to Oregon, Gender, and Higher Education. This will be followed by reading a theme-centered book and a virtual book discussion.
