The Inclusion Advisory Committee was formed with the understanding that becoming an anti-oppression organization comes from centering voices of those who have been historically oppressed. We aim to create an intentional space to amplify the voices of our members that have not previously been heard as loudly as they should have. Our goal with this committee is to listen to, learn from, and empower our members to guide OWHE to ensure this is an organization that serves everyone. We believe in a collective and community-informed approach to organizational change and we have funding earmarked to support this.

Everyone is welcome in the Inclusion Advisory Committee and we ask folks to be aware of their privilege and the space that they claim. Remember that the aim of this group is to center folks who have not always been pulled to the center of OWHE. Even for those of us with intersecting marginalized identities, we often have some sort of privilege that we can be unaware of. Before joining in any Inclusion Advisory Committee events, please read the OWHE Code of Conduct.
